ABOUT us

Who we are at King's Crowns Dental Laboratory
King’s Crowns Dental Laboratory has been in business here in Houston since 1982. The owners of the laboratory have been with the lab since its beginning. They are:
  • Michele Bell, who is a master ceramist
  • Jimmy King, C.D.T. (Certified Dental Technician)
Both have extensive experience and expertise in producing beautiful restorations in even the most difficult cases.  We also have extensive experience in cosmetic/anterior work. Our genuine belief is that the dental lab is an extension of the dental office. We know that chair time and patient experience are critical to the dentist's practice.

We make sure that all crowns fit accurately to solid models.  Implant cases typically have a 15-day turnaround and conventional crown and bridge turnaround is usually 10 working days.  Foreign labs might have a faster turnaround time but they can’t compare with our consistent quality and personal service.

Our job, put simply, is to make easy-seating, beautiful crown and bridge with excellent marginal integrity and delivered to your office both on time fitting correctly the first time.  We are a "boutique" firm -- not a sterile and impersonal production lab. We take time to listen to you and to find out the patient's needs. Our overall goal has and will always be to follow your instructions with quality and integrity.

Here are some examples of our fine work at

An example of an EMAX case created recently in our lab. the patient has very dark sTumps and the dr. requested opacious cores. we stacked body and incisal over.

Here is an example of when our lab makes a matrix copy of A  patient's RPD to make a crown fit under an existing partial.  THIS LESSENS THE TIME THAT THE Patient WILL NEED TO GO Without their PARTIAL (teCHnique used upon request).
